Stackable surgical guides are a fantastic solution for cases that will need bone reduction and the precise placement of dental implants after the bone reduction. These cases can customized based on the clinicians preference and case needs. Stackable guides are a three to five piece set that includes the verification guide, bone reduction guide and surgical guide. Optional items that can be ordered are a provisional prosthesis, tissue guide (to help seat the multi-unit abutments), or a just in case denture. These cases are designed and fabricated in house at Digital Dental Solutions. Due to this we are able to significantly lower the overall cost for you and your practice for these solutions. On average we save you approximately 30% over our competitors.

Verification Guide

The verification guide is intended to sit over the existing dentition or bone after the soft tissue is flapped back. The guide helps seat the bone reduction guide in the correct orientation. An additional option for the verification guide may include a bite index with the opposing arch for additional verification that the guide is seated correctly.

Bone Reduction Guide

The bone reduction guide is pinned into place with 3-4 anchor pins. Once secured the verification guide is removed and the extraction of the remaining teeth or bone reduction can occur. The bone reduction guide can be customized to the clinicians preference and manufactured out of PMMA, nano-ceramic, or Metal depending on strength needs.

Surgical Guide

Once bone reduction has occurred the surgical guide can be pinned into the bone reduction guide. The surgical guide will precisely guide each step of the osteotomy and placement of the dental implants. When angled Multi-Unit abutments are planned timing references will be included in the guide to ensure the proper internal timing for the multi-unit abutments.

Tissue Guide

The tissue guide is an optional item that can be added to the case at no additional cost. This guide is useful when angled multi-unit abutments are planned. The guide will help in the seating of the multi-unit abutments in the correct timing according to the plan.

Temporary Prosthesis

There are a number of options that can be ordered as part of the stackable solution. If the implants are not going to be loaded immediately then we can fabricate an interim immediate denture for the patient. Should the clinician and/or the patient want to leave the practice the day of surgery with a prosthesis a temporary prosthesis can be manufactured as part of the stackable solution for pickup the day of surgery. If the patient and clinician are ok with a prosthesis delivered the next day then we can come chairside for a photogrammetry scan. This enables us to design and fabricate a finished screw retained restoration that will also help expedite the final restoration phase after healing.
