Bone borne surgical guides are a great solution for the edentulous patient or the soon to be edentulous patient. These guides are fabricated to rest directly on the bone for accurate placement of dental implants. Bone borne guides can incorporate bone reduction as part of the plan with reduction windows on the buccal aspect of the guide. These types of guides are often requested when the case calls for delayed loading of implants, or the clinician wants to utilize the guide for only part of the procedure. Anchor pins are utilized for these guides for additional support.
